Making homes warmer and greener
We’ve secured over £5.9 million from the government’s Warm Homes: Social Housing Funding, which will help us improve around 750 homes and move us closer to our EPC C target.
We also upgraded over 100 homes through the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund, helping to lower energy bills, cut carbon emissions, and support our goal of making all homes net zero by 2050.
How government funding has helped
Mr H lives in Pewsey, Wiltshire and has benefitted from the investments we have made to make his home warmer and cheaper to run. We fitted his home with solar panels, new windows, loft insulation, cavity wall insulation, and extractor fans.
He said: “When I was first approached about the upgrade, I was reluctant to have this work done, but after having a chat with the team we agreed that several improvements could be made.
“I was most impressed with the professionalism, help and support we received from all the operators, and they were also very polite and cheerful.
“As a result of the work, our home is a lot warmer and with no drafts. Most importantly we have seen a great reduction to our electricity bills which is very comforting.”
